How I work

A free conversation first, then sessions at the pace we agree.

This is what to expect, from the first conversation to the last session.

01

The first conversation

The first conversation is a free discovery call. It takes 45 minutes, online from anywhere in the world or in Berlin by arrangement, and I work in English.

You tell me your current situation with your project or business and we explore together how I can support you and whether it feels good to work together. If we decide to proceed, we plan the sessions and agree the coaching contract and fees.

Prior to the first session I’ll usually send you an onboarding questionnaire. This is a useful exercise to clarify where you stand today, what you want to achieve and what you’d want to see shift.

02

During a session

Sessions are usually conducted by video call or occasionally in-person in Berlin. At the start of the first session I ask you how hard you want me to push, on a scale of one to ten. I call it the “challenge level”, and we check it again at the start of every session.

A session can call for me to switch between coaching and mentoring, and sometimes to argue the other side of what you’re proposing. I’ll say when I’m doing it and check it’s what you want.

If you agree to it, I transcribe the session so it can be used as context for the next one, and you can withdraw that consent whenever you like.

At the end of each session we agree any action steps you commit to, and I ask how you’ll do each one and by when.

03

Between sessions

After each session you receive a written summary with any actions you committed to taking.

If agreed as part of the coaching contract, I can support you in between sessions via email or chat.

04

Your client platform

I’ve built an online client platform for managing our sessions. It comes free with the coaching, and you don’t have to use it.

Between sessions you can manage your actions, goals and milestones. You may be invited to complete short reflections, which are questions you rate yourself, and each time you revisit one a snapshot is saved so you can see what shifted over time. You can view your entire coaching journey as a visual timeline showing each session, the decisions we reached, your action steps and your reflections.

If you use the platform, you also get a PDF session report after each session. Access is free while we work together and afterwards for as long as you want it, and if an account sits unused for six months I’ll tell you before anything is deleted.

05

How it ends

In the last session we look back at what has changed since the discovery call, and how you intend to step forward. If you’ve used the platform, we go through your reflections and timeline together.

You can end our work at any time and you pay only for sessions that have happened.

06

Where my scope ends

I’m not a therapist. Business and personal questions often arrive together, and I work with both.

What you say stays confidential between us, and if you’re dealing with personal issues that may require therapeutic support I’ll raise this with you. In my experience such issues can arise when a business problem surfaces with something heavier attached, and sometimes the coaching can continue alongside that other support.

I offer a free first conversation to find out what you need and whether I’m the right person for it.
